About Andria Beckham
Hello, I'm Andria Beckham, ACMHC. I work with children, teens, families, and women who are navigating emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Whether you're facing trauma, mood disorders, autism-related concerns, or personality struggles, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported.
With over a decade of experience working with youth and families — including 12 years as a school counselor — I understand how overwhelming life can feel for both children and parents. I believe in helping clients build emotional resilience, develop practical coping skills, and strengthen family relationships.
My approach is compassionate, structured, and adaptable to each person's unique needs. I integrate evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, play therapy, and family systems work to support growth and healing. I am currently receiving ongoing EMDR training to further support trauma recovery.
You don't have to navigate this alone. I'm here to help.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if you're the right therapist for me or my child?
+Great question! In our first session, we'll talk about what you're going through and what you're hoping to get from therapy. I'll be honest about whether I think I'm the best fit. If I'm not, I'll help you find someone who is. No pressure—just an honest conversation about how I can help. You can learn more about our other therapists if you'd like to explore your options.
Do you accept my insurance?
+We accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Select Health, PEHP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, EMI Health, Tricare, United Healthcare, MotivHealth, and UMR. Visit our insurance page to verify your specific coverage and learn about your benefits.
How long does therapy typically take?
+It depends on your goals and what you're working through. Some clients see significant progress in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll check in regularly to make sure therapy is still helping and adjust our approach as needed. According to the American Psychological Association, treatment length varies based on individual needs and goals.
What if my child doesn't want to come to therapy?
+That's completely normal! Many kids (and teens) are nervous at first. I use play therapy, sand tray, and other engaging approaches to help them feel comfortable and build trust. Most kids end up looking forward to sessions once we've built that connection.
Do you offer virtual/telehealth sessions?
+Yes! I offer both in-person sessions at our Orem office and secure video sessions throughout Utah. Virtual therapy can be just as effective and offers more flexibility for busy families.
What happens in the first session?
+The first session is all about getting to know you and understanding what's going on. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping to achieve, and whether we're a good fit to work together. There's no pressure—it's just a conversation to see if I can help. What is your approach to therapy?
+I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I'm trained in multiple evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, and more), which means I can tailor treatment to what works best for you or your child. My style is warm, collaborative, and focused on building practical skills.
Do you work with adults, or just children and families?
+I work with clients ages 5 and up, including children, teenagers, adults, and families. While I specialize in youth and family therapy, I also support adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
Ready to Begin Your Journey?
Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I'm here to help you navigate challenges and build a brighter future.
